Elizabeth was appointed to the GASCo Board in June 2015. She is an experienced company director and trustee of charitable organisations and is currently a director of the Helicopter Club of Great Britain.
A helicopter pilot from the outset, Elizabeth obtained her PPL(H) in 1985 on the Bell B206 Jet Ranger and she currently flies the glass cockpit version (B3) of the Airbus Helicopters H125 - Squirrel (formerly known as the Eurocopter AS350). While she mainly flies single engine turbine helicopters these days, she occasionally flies the twin engined, AgustaWestland A109.
In addition to the experience of the charity sector that Elizabeth brings with her, she is keen to use her time on the Board to encourage safety awareness and promote new approaches to flight safety particularly in the areas of human performance and limitations.
