Auster AOP9: Nr Spanhoe, Northants
The pilot was killed and the passenger seriously injured when the aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Spanhoe airfield. (Source: ASN). 

15 Jan        
Piper PA30-160 Twin Comanche: Nr Chinnor, Chiltern Hills

The aircraft which is reported to have taken off from Turweston crashed in poor weather on the Aston Rowant Nature Reserve killing the pilot, the sole occupant.  (Source ASN).

Piper PA28–140: Mull of Kintyre
While en route from Oban to Carlisle, the aircraft crashed in the sea resulting in the loss of both persons on board.  (Source: ASN)

Europe: Nr Coal Aston Airfield, Derbyshire
The aircraft crashed in a field, the pilot later dying in hospital.  (Source: ASN).

AS355 Twin Squirrel: Rhinog Mountains, Snowdonia   
The helicopter was flying from Luton Airport to Weston Airport, Dublin when it went missing in mountainous terrain.  The wreckage was located the following day, all five on board had been killed.  (Source: ASN & Media).

The glider crashed at 7,550 ft in mountainous terrain, killing the pilot the sole occupant. (Source ASN & media).

The glider crashed shortly after an aero-tow killing the pilot the sole occupant.  (Source: ASN & AAIB).
