Solent Airspace Trial

Since 1st August 2016, the CAA and NATS, in partnership with FASVIG, have been conducting a Collaborative Airspace Trial in the Solent area with the aim of reducing airspace infringements.  Sufficient operational data has already been gathered to provide useful learning and to assess the benefits which has enabled NATS to end the trial ahead of its published end date of 16 October 2016.  AIC Y061/2016 has therefore been cancelled.

GASCo strongly recommends that pilots continue to make full use of the Solent Listening Squawk (0011 - Monitor Solent Radar on 120.225) when flying in the vicinity of Solent controlled airspace.
