Ditching and Sea Survival

Monday 9th July 2018

Due to heavy internal training demands, the RNLI College is unable to host the ever-popular GASCo Ditching & Sea Survival Seminar until the beginning of July this year but it will be as good as ever offering delegates the chance to consider ditching in some detail during the morning briefing in the Harbour Suite of the RNLI College at Poole, Dorset.  In the afternoon, there is the opportunity to use the College’s Sea Survival Pool to use GA survival equipment in realistic conditions with expert trainers to impart knowledge and keep you safe.  The Sea Survival Pool is a world-class training facility with special effects that provide an unforgettable training experience.  There are only 18 places available so you are advised to book now to secure your place on the course.  The seminar costs £175 and includes all equipment, refreshments and a delicious lunch.  If you wish to bring your own survival equipment, e.g. lifejacket, life raft, survival suits, spray hoods and the like you are most welcome to do so as there is nothing like training with the equipment that you might one day have to use.  Equipment advice and assistance will be available from, GASCO supporters, SEMS Aerosafe Ltd on the day.

To book a place on this seminar visit the GASCo Online Booking Portal as soon as possible.  Alternatively, contact penny.gould@gen-av-safety.demon.co.uk by email or by telephone on 01634 200203

This year we are investigating whether it will be possible to arrange an add-on day in the Portsmouth area to include ‘dunker’ training session (a must for helicopter pilots) and a visit to the Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Centre at the National Maritime Operations Centre at Fareham, Hampshire.  Details to follow.
