'Ditching and Sea Survival'
Wednesday 11th March 2020
Ditching & Sea Survival Seminar at the RNLI College, Poole
We have vacancies available for the theoretical knowledge portion of the this seminar. These sessions cover Preparation for Flight across Water, Risk Assessment, Distress Procedure and Ditching Techniques together with briefings and demonstrations using General Aviation Life Saving Equipment. Professor Michael Bagshaw will also talk about the Medical Aspects of Survival. During the practical in-water sessions, you will be able to spectate and receive a dedicated commentary and explanations of the drills taking place and see the environmental effects at first hand.
There may also be the opportunity to see some of the other fascilities of the RNLI College while waiting for the others to change and return to the classroom where you will be able to join them for a discussion accompanied by tea, cake and medals! This is seminar is priced at only £30 which includes lunch and refreshments in the Harbour Suite of the RNLI’s world-class training facility at Poole, Dorset. This represents excellent value for money and is ideal for those who for one reason and another cannot partake in the practical in-water sessions. In this respect it is an invaluable briefing for passengers and regular flying companions.
You can book your place on the GASCo Online Booking Portal - the course is entitled Ditching & Sea Survival Seminar - Day 1 (Classroom only)
