A little known fact is that the RAF's in house safety magazine - Air Clues - is freely available on line at https://www.raf.mod.uk/our-organisation/units/raf-safety-centre/air-clues/. The current edition contains articles on Programme Marshall which explains how RAF air traffic controllers provide a radar service to pilots; a tribute to the passing of a Safety Legend, Professor James Reason CBE (1938 - 2025). Most GA pilots will be familiar with his Swiss Cheese Model or at least the ones that have attended a GASCO safety evening will be! There are several other articles of interest to GA, for example bird strike prevention, mental health and dissociation phenomena as well as a roundup of military airproxes some of which involved GA Aircraft.Back
